Mumbai, July 13 -- Good rain in the lake areas has helped Mumbai's drinking water stock reach 49.93 per cent of its total capacity according to an update shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday morning.
The seven lakes that supply water to the city now have a total of 7,22,649 million litres of usable water. This is a very small increase of 0.09 per cent compared to Sunday, as the heavy rain took a short break over the weekend.
The current water level is much better than it was two years ago, but it is still lower than last year's level at this time.
