Mumbai , June 28 -- Mumbai's water reserves remained critically low at 7.31 per cent of total capacity on Sunday despite the arrival of the monsoon, according to the latest report released by the Hydraulic Engineer's Department at the Bhandup Complex of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The total useful water stock across the city's seven reservoirs stood at 105,755 million litres as of 6 a.m. on June 28, compared with 537,788 million litres, or about 37 per cent of capacity, on the same date last year.
The combined full storage capacity of the seven lakes is 1,447,363 million litres.
