Mumbai , June 7 -- A 28-year-old man was killed and three others injured in a robbery and stabbing incident in broad daylight on Sunday in Appa Pada area at suburban Malad, police said.
The incident occurred near the local rickshaw stand, under the jurisdiction of Kurar Police Station, when two youths Akash Dhotre and his brother were on their way to a juice stall.
According to police, two men, Surendra Mishra and Mahendra Mishra, attempted to pick Dhotre's pocket. When he resisted, the accused pulled out a knife and attacked him. Dhotre's brother intervened and was stabbed in the abdomen and chest. Two other people who were passing by were also injured in the assault.
