Mumbai, June 25 -- Mumbai Cyber Police have busted an organised cyber fraud racket that allegedly used fake APK files and malicious mobile applications to hack mobile phones and steal confidential financial information from victims across the country.

Addressing mediapersons on Thursday, Deputy Commissioner of Police Bajrang Bansode said the operation led to the seizure of a large quantity of electronic devices, banking data and other sensitive digital information allegedly used by the cyber crime syndicate.
