Mumbai, May 12 -- A local court awarded two years Rigrious imprisonment of two years to a 35-year-old taxi driver , for molesting and stalking a woman passenger in South Mumbai.
The court found Rockey Fernandes guilty under Sections 354 and 354(D) of the Indian Penal Code, covering outraging a woman's modesty and stalking. He was also fined Rs 1,000.
According to prosecution case the complainant, a front office associate at a five-star hotel, encountered the accused on two occasions in November 2023 while commuting by shared taxi from Churchgate station.
