Mumbai, April 25 -- The Mumbai civic administration has drawn up an extensive action plan to make the city malaria-free, with a strong focus on pre-monsoon preparedness and inter-departmental coordination.

As part of the initiative, a Rapid Response Action Committee comprising officials from all relevant departments has been constituted to ensure swift and coordinated implementation of preventive measures.

Authorities have been directed to identify and eliminate as many mosquito breeding sites as possible, particularly those prone to malaria larvae.
