Mumbai, Aug. 20 -- A 53-year-old airport driver allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a height at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) here on Thursday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Pramod Gangaram Jadhav, who had been working as a driver at the airport for nearly 25 years.

According to police, Jadhav left his residence at around 0830 hours and reached the airport at about 1000 hours. At approximately 1140 hours, he went to the P10 level of the airport and allegedly jumped from the height, sustaining fatal injuries.

He died at the spot, officials said.
