Mumbai, Aug. 12 -- Two persons, including a 2.5-year-old minor , were killed and six others injured after a fire broke out in two flats on the 11th floor of a residential building in Vile Parle West area of city subarb, officials said here on Wednesday.
The fire was reported at around 2202 hrs on Tuesday at Shanta Bhavan Building on Baptista Road, Church Road, near St Xavier School.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the blaze was initially classified as Level-I at 2208 hrs and upgraded to Level-II at 2216 hrs due to the extent of the fire.
The fire was confined to Flats 1101 and 1102 of the stilt-plus-11-storey building and engulfed electrical wiring and installations, air-conditioning units, household articles, furniture, fals...
