Nagpur, April 27 -- The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) on Monday introduced a new fleet of 'Rajmata Jijau' buses in Nagpur division, marking a step towards modernising public transport services.
The buses were flagged off at a function held at Niyojan Bhawan in Sadar, in the presence of Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
A total of 24 buses have been inducted into the Nagpur division.
Designed for enhanced passenger comfort, the buses come with a 3x2 seating layout and can accommodate around 45 to 46 commuters.
They are equipped with CCTV surveillance, panic buttons and GPS-enabled tracking systems to ensure better safety and monitoring.
