Visakhapatnam, Aug. 6 -- Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M. Sribharat on Thursday urged union Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy to ensure the immediate release of pending Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) benefits and other statutory dues to former employees of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
During a meeting with the union Minister in New Delhi, the MP brought to his notice a representation submitted by the Steel Executives' Association (SEA), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, highlighting the financial hardships faced by retired employees due to the delay in settlement of their retirement benefits.
Sribharat said that despite opting for the government-approved VRS, many retired employees were yet to receive their full dues.
