Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- A day after National Conference president Farooq Abdullah challenged Srinagar MP Ruhullah Mehdi to resign from the Lok Sabha and the party and seek a fresh mandate independently, the parliamentarian on Tuesday said he would respond to the demand in the coming days, while maintaining that he holds the veteran leader in high regard.
Ruhullah stopped short of giving a direct answer but indicated that he was seriously considering the demand and would respond in a day or two.
"It is not possible that Dr Sahib asks me for something and I do not give it to him. It is not possible that I send him back empty-handed," Ruhullah told reporters.
