Panchkula, Sept. 16 -- Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma on Tuesday administered the oath of office to the newly elected president and other office-bearers of the District Bar Association, Panchkula, and announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the association's development works.
Sharma was the chief guest at the oath-taking ceremony held at the District Courts complex here. Many lawyers attended the event and congratulated the new executive committee.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma said India's journey towards becoming a developed nation required not only changes in policies but also a change in mindset.
The justice delivery system, he said, had a crucial role in the country's social and institutional development.
