Bhopal, May 15 -- The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday accepted the disputed Bhojshala structure in Dhar to be a Hindu place of worship, the Temple of Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati).

The Indore Bench of the High Court delivered its judgement after hearing five petitions submitted in the matter.

In its verdict, the court placed the protection of the site under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and granted the rights of worship at the place to Hindus.

Heavy security arrangements have been put in place since yesterday all over the Dhar town and also at Indore and other places in the state in view of the judgment coming today.
