Bhopal, June 23 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav claimed on Tuesday that more than 90 per cent of the state's people contacted through SMS regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) have expressed support to it.
He pointed out that the proposal has also received significant support from members of minority communities.
The CM told the state's ministers before the cabinet meeting today that public consultation meetings on the implementation of the UCC have been completed in all districts of Madhya Pradesh.
He noted that the consultations were conducted peacefully across the state.
