Bhopal, June 5 -- Three people were killed and more than a dozen were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses on the Bhopal-Sagar road in Madhya Pradesh today.

As per police officials, the accident occurred near the Sehatganj toll plaza under the jurisdiction of the Kharbai police outpost in Raisen district.

SP Ashutosh Gupta said that the buses involved in the mishap were of Shakti Travels (MP 04 PA 3820), and Kalpana Travels (MP 23 ZC 7770).

The Shakti Travels bus was going from Bhopal to Sagar, while the other bus was coming from the opposite side.

Passengers and passers-by told the police that both buses were being driven at a high speed. The drivers lost control on a turn, and the heavy vehicles collided.
