Bhopal, April 27 -- Three people, including two widows and a Dalit man, were denied of benefits of the widow pension and Dalit welfare schemes respectively, as a Panchayat secretary in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh issued death certificates in their names, leading to his suspension.
Following separate complaints lodged by the trio, and a preliminary inquiry found the Panchayat secretary at fault, higher authorities suspended him on Saturday.
The suspended officer, Amar Singh, was the Panchayat secretary of the Chandrapura village panchayat.
Following the probe, District panchayat chief executive officer (CEO) Namah Shivay Arjaria suspended Singh.
