Bhopal, June 30 -- Several women stopped the car of a ruling BJP MLA touring his constituency, and complained of dire shortage of water and electricity in their village in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred in the Pichhore constituency when BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi was visiting areas in his constituency.

The women gheraoed the MLA's vehicle and demanded that their long-standing demands of drinking water and power be fulfilled immediately.

They even cautioned the MLA that he would not get their votes in the future if their demands were not met with.

Some women complained that little kids were suffering from thirst and diseases caused by mosquitoes, as there was neither water nor electricity in the village.
