Patna, May 30 -- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today strongly opposed the Bihar government's move to evict former chief minister and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council Rabri Devi from her official residence at 10 Circular Road, alleging that the NDA government was acting contrary to democratic values and conventions.

RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said here that Rabri Devi had been residing at the bungalow for nearly two decades and continued to hold a constitutional position as Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council. He questioned the rationale behind allotting her an alternative residence and asking her to vacate the existing accommodation.
