Hyderabad, Oct. 7 -- The motor insurance industry grew nearly 10 per cent up to August 2026, with the segment accounting for about 35 per cent of the general insurance premium, Zuno General Insurance Chief Distribution Officer Jackson Jacob said.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Wednesday, he said the motor segment grew around 13.2 per cent, while health insurance grew about 21 per cent. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, particularly Hyderabad, remain significant growth markets, with around 15 lakh cars in Hyderabad and nearly 55 per cent of vehicles in Telangana estimated to be uninsured.
