New Delhi, July 18 -- Delhi Police's Crime Branch has arrested two suspected offenders who had been absconding since 2018 in connection with the alleged murder and dowry death of a married woman in North Delhi, officials said on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Kanchan(aged 52 years), the deceased's mother-in-law, and Jatin (aged 31 years) alias Jitin, her brother-in-law, were wanted in FIR No. 43/2018 registered at Swaroop Nagar police station under Sections 302, 304B, 498A and 34 of the IPC.
According to the police, the case pertains to the unnatural death of a married woman in January 2018. While the FIR was initially registered under dowry death and cruelty charges, the victim's family later alleged that she had been strangulated ...
