New Delhi, May 30 -- Rajasthan Royals head coach Kumar Sangakkara believes teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is ready for international cricket after a remarkable IPL 2026 season that established him as one of the most exciting young talents in the game.
The 15-year-old finished the season with 776 runs from 16 innings at a staggering strike rate of 237.30, with 684 of those runs coming through boundaries.
Speaking after Rajasthan Royals' exit in Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans, Sangakkara said Sooryavanshi had shown enough maturity and skill to take the next step.
