Chennai, June 6 -- Having slid to a distant third for the first time in its history in the recent elections adding to the long list of successive poll debacles, desertions continued in the opposition AIADMK in Tamil Nadu with four former Ministers, all popular faces, and ex-MLAs quitting the party and joining the ruling TVK of Chief Minister Vijay on Saturday.
Those who joined the TVK included former Ministers and senior leaders Udumalai K Radhakrishnan, M C Sampath, Kadambur C Raju -- whohave unsuccessfully contested the April 23 Assembly elections from Udumalpet, Cuddalore and Kovilpatti seats respectively -- and N R Sivapathi.
