Chandigarh, July 26 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh between July 28 and 29.
The IMD warns that this may cause flash floods, waterlogging, and significant disruption in several areas.
A Special Weather Bulletin issued Saturday states that the monsoon will intensify from July 28-30, ending the recent period of weak rainfall.
Haryana and Chandigarh are expected to receive widespread downpours, while Punjab will see steady showers.
Some northern and eastern areas of Haryana and Punjab may receive over 12 cm of rain.
