Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said weather conditions remain favourable for the further advance of the southwest monsoon into additional parts of Odisha over the next four to five days.

According to the IMD, an upper air cyclonic circulation persists over south coastal Odisha and adjoining north coastal Andhra Pradesh at about 3.1 km above mean sea level. A trough extending from the west-central Bay of Bengal off south coastal Andhra Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu continues to influence weather conditions across the region.
