Panchkula, July 26 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the monsoon will gather strength across northwest India in the coming days. Residents of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh should brace for widespread downpours, rumbling thunderstorms, and pockets of heavy to very heavy rain through the start of August.
According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued on July 26, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall from July 28 to August 1.
