Pune, March 17 -- : In a formal letter submitted by Creative Foundation president Sandeep Khardekar, concerns have been raised over the increasing intrusion of monkey troops into city areas during the summer season, urging immediate intervention by authorities.

According to the letter addressed to Deputy Conservator of Forests Dr. Madhav Mohite, a troop of monkeys was recently spotted inside the Pune Municipal Corporation's Haribhau Sane vehicle depot in Narayan Peth.

A similar incident was reported earlier near Khadakwasla Dam, beyond Kondhwe-Dhawade, where monkeys were seen occupying a road stretch, said Khardekar in his letter to forest officials.
