Nagpur, Aug. 15 -- : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the National Flag at the Sangh headquarters in the Mahal area of Nagpur on Saturday morning to mark the 80th Independence Day.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was held at 8 am amid tight security and was attended by RSS volunteers and pracharaks.
Addressing the gathering after the flag-hoisting ceremony, Bhagwat said the pride of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters is deeply rooted in the hearts of Indians and urged citizens to work towards strengthening the nation.
