Chandigarh, May 27 -- Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has been directed by a court in Punjab's Moga district to appear in person on June 10 in a criminal defamation case linked to her controversial remarks against Aam Aadmi Party legislators in Punjab.

The case was filed by Amandeep Kaur Arora, who alleged that Maliwal made insulting and derogatory comments against Punjab MLAs by referring to them as "sheep and goats", remarks that later triggered a political row in the state.
