Chandigarh, March 4 -- In a major crackdown on traffic violations during the Hola Mohalla celebrations, the Sri Anandpur Sahib police intercepted a highly modified motorcycle equipped with a replica of an AK-47 assault rifle.

The vehicle was seized at a special security checkpoint established to monitor the influx of devotees and curb potential road safety hazards. The rider, identified as Diljit, a resident of Shahkot in the Jalandhar district, was travelling to the holy city with a friend to offer prayers when law enforcement officials signalled him to stop at the city's entry point.
