Mysuru, Aug. 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday credited India's youth with driving the country's emergence as a global technology and innovation powerhouse, saying they were behind the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing and the digital economy.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre (Viveka Smaraka) at the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Modi said the country's transformation was being powered by the aspirations, talent and enterprise of its young population.
