Patna, June 17 -- union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Wednesday that India has witnessed all-round development during the 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi''s tenure.
Addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters here, Chouhan said that before 2014, India was passing through a period of economic, social and cultural pessimism. However, after Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister in 2014, the country witnessed comprehensive development and gained greater respect and recognition on the global stage.
