Dharamshala, July 10 -- Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Whip and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania on Friday said a modern vegetable and grain market would be constructed at Draman in Kangra district on about 20 kanals of land, with the foundation stone to be laid shortly.
Inspecting the proposed site along with APMC Chairman Nishu Mongra and officials of various departments, Pathania said the project had received the required forest clearance and the process for starting construction was being expedited.
He said Draman, located at the junction of Kangra and Chamba districts, would also house a major government office to provide services to people of both districts from a single location.
