New Delhi, June 16 -- Remembering Delhi's first Chief Minister Chaudhary Brahm Prakash on his 108th birth anniversary, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Tuesday said that the story of the modern national capital cannot be written without acknowledging the extraordinary contribution of the first CM, whose vision and leadership shaped the city's democratic and developmental journey.

Gupta along with several others paid floral tributes at Chaudhary's statue on the occasion at the Vidhan Sabha premises.

Addressing the gathering, Speaker Gupta remembered the freedom fighter and statesman, adding that Chaudhary had dedicated himself to the freedom movement at an early age without any political aspirations or personal gain.
