New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- The Ministry of Defence on Tuesday signed a Rs 661.50 crore contract with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) for procurement of BrahMos Fire Control Systems and launchers for Indian Navy ships, strengthening the maritime strike capabilities of frontline warships.
The contract, signed under the Buy (Indian-IDDM) (Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, is aimed at equipping Indian Navy ships with advanced BrahMos weapon-system components.
