Senapati (Manipur), July 15 -- An Assam Rifles camp was attacked and vehicles were damaged by a mob in Senapati on Tuesday night.
The PRO and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday that an unruly mob resorted to stone-pelting, arson and vandalism at an Assam Rifles camp in Senapati town, Manipur, on Tuesday night.
Based on credible intelligence inputs regarding the presence of armed cadres in the general area of Makuilongdi, about 2 km west of the designated NSCN (IM) camp at Oklong, the Assam Rifles launched an area domination patrol and search operation.
