Lucknow, June 12 -- BJP MLA from Sarojininagar Dr. Rajeshwar Singh has written to union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting consideration of a stronger national mechanism to ensure that stolen mobile phones become unusable across the country.
In his letter on Friday , Dr. Singh appreciated the Government of India's efforts under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and initiatives such as Sanchar Saathi and CEIR, which have empowered citizens to block, trace and recover lost or stolen mobile phones.
