Aizawl, Feb. 26 -- Mizoram's HIV burden and district-level response strategies came under sharp national focus as the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) conducted an intensive review of the State's programme under Mission AIDS Suraksha at a three-day regional workshopin Guwahati.
The workshop, convened by National AIDS Control Organisation under the union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, is aimed at accelerating progress in high-priority districts of theNortheast.
While both Manipur and Mizoram were reviewed, particular attention was drawn to Mizoram, which currently records the highest HIV prevalence rate in the country.
