Aizawl, May 25 -- Mizoram has stepped up efforts to transform ginger cultivation into a major economic driver, with the state government initiating groundwork for a large-scale processing and value-chain project aimed at boosting farmers' income and attracting private investment in the agri-processing sector.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Sunday chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister's Conference Hall to review implementation plans for the Ginger USP Project, a flagship initiative that seeks to establish Mizoram as a key ginger-processing hub in the Northeast.
