Aizawl, March 6 -- Mizoram Land Revenue and Settlement Minister B. Lalchhanzova on Friday acknowledged in the state Legislative Assembly that the government did not publish the preliminary and final notifications relating to the acquisition of land for the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the Lengpui area near Aizawl in local newspapers.
Responding in writing to a query raised by Congress legislator C. Ngunlianchunga, Lalchhanzova stated that the preliminary notification for the land acquisition was issued on May 15, 2025, while the final declaration notification was issued on July 22, 2025 under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
