Aizawl, April 24 -- Mizoram is aiming to position itself as India's "winter capital" for tourism, with preparations underway for a major Tourism Conclave to be held in October.

The push was highlighted during a meeting in New Delhi between Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar and officials of NITI Aayog at Mizoram House, where strategies were discussed to ensure the conclave's success and maximise its benefits for the state.

The NITI Aayog delegation was led by Swapnalee Bhattacharya, ISS, Deputy Director General.
