Aizawl, Aug. 21 -- Customs officials and trade stakeholders reviewed bottlenecks affecting cross-border trade in the Northeast at a meeting in Aizawl today, with discussions focusing on faster cargo clearance, digital connectivity and improved border infrastructure.

The Second Meeting of the Inland Container Depot and Land Customs Station (ICD/LCS) Feedback Sharing Committee was held at the State Guest House under the aegis of the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata Customs Zone.

The meeting was convened to monitor the implementation of procedural reforms announced in the union Budget 2026-27 and assess their impact on trade facilitation in the region.
