Lunglei (Mizoram), April 12 -- A group of young NCC cadets in Mizoram's Lunglei received a rare, hands-on glimpse into the future of warfare and surveillance as the Territorial Army, in collaboration with a Drone Lab under 23 Sector Assam Rifles, organised an interactive lecture-cum-demonstration on April 10.
Far from a routine classroom session, the programme unfolded as an immersive experience. Cadets watched intently as unmanned aerial systems were demonstrated live, their eyes following the drones as they lifted off, manoeuvred mid-air and simulated operational tasks. For many, it was their first close encounter with technologies that increasingly define modern security operations.
