Srinagar, May 30 -- Two days after authorities in Jammu and Kashmir barred Eid prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid and Eidgah and in Srinagar for the eighth consecutive year, Hurriyat Conference chairman and chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq warned against what he termed as the growing "normalisation of abnormal circumstances" in Kashmir.
Addressing the Friday congregation at Srinagar's Jamia Masjid Srinagar, Mirwaiz expressed deep concern over the continued restrictions on Eid prayers at Eidgah and Jamia Masjid.
