New Delhi, June 27 -- Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu will once again lead India's weightlifting challenge at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with the star lifter aiming to add another medal to her impressive record when the competition begins on July 23.

Mirabai, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics and is a three-time Commonwealth Games medallist, will compete in the women's 48kg category. After winning gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Games and again in 2022, she will be looking to complete a hat-trick of Commonwealth titles. Incidentally, Glasgow was also where she claimed her first Commonwealth Games medal, a silver, in 2014.
