Jammu, May 11 -- The Ministry of Mines will launch the second tranche of limestone block auctions in Srinagar on Tuesday, marking a major push towards unlocking Jammu and Kashmir's mineral potential and accelerate industrial development in the union Territory.
The latest round of auctions, being conducted in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir government, will offer 12 limestone blocks spread across Anantnag, Rajouri and Poonch districts. The initiative is aimed at boosting investment, strengthening domestic mineral production and advancing the Centre's vision of Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
