Bengaluru, June 16 -- Congress workers on Tuesday staged a show of strength outside Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's residence, demanding the inclusion of Indi MLA Yashavantharayagouda Vittalagouda Patil in the state cabinet amid ongoing discussions on the next phase of ministerial expansion.
Supporters of the Congress legislator from Indi constituency in Vijayapura district gathered in large numbers and sought an audience with the Chief Minister to press their demand for a ministerial berth for Patil.
"We are here for only one reason. We want to meet DK Shivakumar and tell him that Yashavantha Patil should be given a ministerial berth," one of the supporters said.
