Tumakuru, March 23 -- Karnataka Minister for Kannada and Culture Shivaraj Tangadagi was admitted to a hospital in Tumakuru after complaining of chest pain late Sunday evening, but doctors confirmed that his condition was not related to any cardiac issue.

According to Dr Sharat Kumar, who attended to the minister, the pain was found to be muscular in nature and not associated with the heart.

"He came here with chest pain. The pain was not cardiac. It was not related to heart issues; it was muscular. He is healthy," the doctor told reporters on Monday, reassuring that there was no cause for concern.

Tangadagi himself said he was feeling comfortable and that there was no problem.
