Ranchi, March 3 -- The Excise Department on Tuesday busted a mini-illicit liquor manufacturing unit operating from a residential house in Hinoo locality of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, and arrested three persons in connection with the case.
The accused have been identified as Raunak Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Munna. During the raid, officials also seized a scooter and a motorcycle allegedly used for transporting illicit liquor across different parts of the city.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were using stolen two-wheelers for distribution.
According to official sources, the illegal operation was being run discreetly from within a residential premises in Hinoo.
