New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Stressing that future national security challenges demand a more integrated defence ecosystem, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday called for deeper military-civilian integration within the Ministry of Defence, asserting that the Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) Civilian Services must evolve into the "strategic brain" of India's defence management architecture.
Addressing the 85th AFHQ Civilian Services Day celebrations in the national capital, Singh said that as the Armed Forces move towards greater jointness, the military and civilian wings must work in closer coordination to strengthen policy formulation, administration, logistics, financial processes and institutional knowledge.
