New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- In a fresh crackdown on objectionable online content, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has ordered the blocking of five Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms for allegedly streaming obscene and pornographic material. The services barred from access are MoodXVIP, Koyal Playpro, Digi Movieplex, Feel and Jugnu.
Officials said the decision came after authorities reviewed multiple complaints about the nature of the content being circulated on these services. According to sources, several shows were found to contain sexually explicit scenes and prolonged nudity, which were considered to be in violation of existing Indian laws.
